4 Self Care Beauty Must-Haves
I’m grateful for self care and mental health being such prevalent topics nowadays. More and more brands are making self care products and services readily available. As a female consumer, we have so many options! Overall, it’s satisfying to know that it’s totally OK to indulge in pampering yourself, whether that be physically or mentally. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite self care products for the ideal pampering session below:
Salt Soaks:
Like most women, I enjoy a relaxing bath at the end of the week. Being able to mute my surroundings and just indulge in an hour of me time fights off Sunday scaries. I love bath bombs as they’re fun to watch and smell AMAZING, but I’m more of a salt soak gal. My go-to soak is Kismet. They make a nice blend of essential oils, dried flowers and epsom salts. Adding a scoop or two to my bath, calms nerves and relieves stress & sore muscles.
Gillette Venus Razor Subscription:
Gillette is one of my favorite brands. Not only do they make reliable products, but they are trailblazers; they make products that compliment and fit into women’s lifestyles and busy schedules. Gillette just launched a subscription service, sending out a customizable Gillette Venus razor (initial order)and four razor cartridges starting at just $10 a month. The best shave club for women! With more women like myself working and constantly hustling, being able to order online saves me a lot of time and makes it super convenient. It’s great to know that companies like Gillette are not just creating products for women but, creating products with the modern woman’s lifestyle in mind. Essential Oils:
Essential oils have many properties that attribute to restful sleep, anti-anxiety, anti-inflammatory and immune boosts. They can be applied and consumed in numerous ways; I prefer diffusers and topical solutions. Some of my favorite oils are tea tree, eucalyptus, marula and clary sage. The glow is real with essential oils!
Podcasts:
I’m a firm believer that podcasts are a form of therapy. Podcasts inspire, teach and uplift me. Sometimes, it’s hard for me to tune out my thoughts and worries when I’m trying to relax. Podcasts like The Read and 2 Dope Queens have me hollering, while taking my mind off my problems. Other podcasts like The Daily and Pod Save America are very educational in terms of being in-the-know with what’s going on in politics, local government, and my community.
