Hosting Friendsgiving!
As much as I love the decor, scents and lights that the holidays bring, there’s nothing I love more than being together with my favorite people. I’ve been friends with these people for over a decade, and no matter where life takes us, the holidays always bring us back together. 🧡
When it came to setting the table, I opted for a simple touches that wouldn’t be too fussy or get in the way of the actual food. I linked my decor for this simple modern farmhouse feel below:
6ft eucalyptus garlands
Brushed metal flatware
Bell taper candleholders
Talia taper candleholders
Buffalo check placemats
Sierra brown napkins
White + brown acorn ornaments (I removed the twine & used these as seating decor!)

But of all the yummy contenders, the star of the dinner was our Basil Hayden’s Holiday Cocktail Punch! Check out the play-by-play on the punch recipe below:
Ingredients:
- 1 750mL bottle Basil Hayden’s Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky
- 1 cup sweet vermouth
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur
- 20 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 cup tart cherry juice
- 2 cups soda water
- 2 oranges, sliced into wheels
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Ice
Method:
- Combine sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters, sugar and ground cinnamon in a pitcher or punch bowl
- Stir until sugar is dissolved
- Add the rest of the ingredients (except soda) and stir to combine
- Top with soda just before serving
- Safely enjoy this big batch cocktail with small groups
